The aesthetic is modern and energetic, yet thoughtfully composed rather than overdone.

Prior to arrival, our reservation was upgraded to a Premium Room overlooking the pool — a generous start to the stay, and exactly the kind of welcome a preferred-partner programme is designed to deliver.

The room itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and easily one of the nicest accommodations we experienced during our Singapore trip. Modern interiors, premium finishes, and small thoughtful details combined into something luxurious yet genuinely comfortable. Our windows looked straight onto the resort's swimming pool, with palm trees framing the view throughout the day.

A welcome amenity was waiting on arrival — chocolates, fresh blueberries, and a few other treats — a small but personal touch that set the tone for the stay.

The swimming pool is, without question, one of the highlights of W Singapore.

Beautifully landscaped and ringed by towering palm trees, it conjures a true tropical-resort atmosphere — a rare thing in Singapore. The pool is generously sized and temperature-controlled, which keeps it inviting from morning until well after sunset.

Whether you're swimming, settling into a lounger, or just taking in the surroundings, it's an easy place to lose a couple of hours to.

For our daughter, it was the highlight of the trip — she'd be at the pool before breakfast and back again before dinner, every day of our stay.

What truly makes W Singapore distinctive isn't only the hotel — it's the lifestyle that surrounds it. The property sits beside the exclusive Sentosa Cove Marina, ringed by luxury yachts, waterfront residences, cafés, and upscale restaurants. Morning walks around the marina and evening strolls along the waterfront quickly became one of the small daily highlights of our stay.

The atmosphere here is peaceful, sophisticated, and quite unlike anywhere else in Singapore. If you're after a quieter and more luxurious side of the city, Sentosa Cove delivers it.

The resort transforms beautifully once the light fades. W's signature lighting, the illuminated palm trees, and the marina views combine into something altogether more theatrical in the evening — the property feels both vibrant and relaxing at the same time.

A short walk from the hotel also brings you to a clutch of excellent waterfront restaurants — including the well-regarded Indian restaurant Shaan — and a number of cafés overlooking the marina.

Breakfast at W Singapore was excellent — a generous international buffet with a surprisingly good selection of Indian dishes alongside Asian and Western favourites. Everything was fresh, well presented, and supported by attentive service.

Beyond breakfast, the hotel's à la carte dining was equally impressive, with consistently high-quality food throughout our stay.

Service throughout our stay was warm, friendly, and consistently professional. The team acknowledged my Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status from check-in and carried that attentiveness through to departure.

When we requested a late checkout, the hotel kindly extended it to 1:00 PM. As a resort running on high occupancy, late checkout is often difficult to grant — which made the gesture all the more appreciated, and exactly the kind of detail that makes a real difference on the last day of a trip.

The attention to detail, thoughtful hospitality, and high service standards made the whole experience feel seamless from arrival to farewell.
